There are also many authors who have enjoyed a nice glass of whiskey and the pleasures it can bring. From these writers, many famous quotes about whiskey have arisen. One such quote is from Mark Twain, the famous American author of legendary books such as "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." He proclaimed his love for whiskey by stating, "Too much of anything is bad, but too much of good whiskey is barely enough." Another of his more famous lines about whiskey’s allure is, "Whiskey is for drinking; water is for fighting over."

To make it palatable, we had to add whiskey. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.” Whiskey and water in a highball glass was his drink of choice.
